Pro-rata salary: $24,986.70 to $27,301.00 pa + 9.5% super + relevant penalty rates + Adverse Working Conditions Allowance 

 

Are you passionate about natural bushland areas, environment and working with community volunteers who share your passion and want to make a difference within their local areas?

The position will require you to work weekends on environment group’s sites and also attended environment events such as National Tree Day. 

You will provide guidance, training and supervision to environment volunteers in accordance with Council’s Environment Volunteer Program (EVP). This includes development of site strategies, complete daily documentation and keep accurate records, allocate tasks to volunteer and provide on-the-job training.

With the ever-increasing demand on the environment you will take a role in promoting the importance of our natural areas and Inspire Council and the community to improve their understanding and level of involvement in the management of our remnant natural areas.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Conservation and Land Management Certificate III or equivalent, including demonstrated experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and accreditation in Chemical application
  • Experience in Bush regeneration and supervising of volunteers
  • Good communication and record management skills
  • The ability to be flexible in working hours
  • Current Class C drivers license

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
