At Liverpool City Library, we’re looking for a team member who is passionate about history and heritage.

As Local Studies Officer, you will support the services and programs which help to document, preserve and share Liverpool’s rich cultural heritage with the community.

Reporting to the Local Studies Team Leader, you will be based at Liverpool City Library. The role is customer-focused and you will be carrying out original cataloging of heritage collections and guiding access to those collections. You will also respond to local and family enquiries and research content for publication and our public programs. Your experience with digitisation and preservation of multiple formats, will improve access to a collection that tells the unique stories of the Liverpool. As would experience in research and support for school curriculum, professional researchers, and family history.You will also fulfil regular on-desk shifts at the library, including regular night and weekends.

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
