We have a great opportunity for you to join our Early Childhood Services team. We are seeking a Children’s Services Cook to provide nutritious, delicious and hygienically prepared meals at our Early Education and Care Centres. As a cook you will have a hands-on role with the children, encouraging a love for healthy and nutritious meals.  

 

You will need experience in planning and delivering nutritionally based meals that are culturally and dietary appropriate. Working in an Early Education and Care setting, you will have effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as experience in maintaining a hygienic kitchen in accordance with food safety standards.

 

To succeed in this role you should have;

  • Accredited food safety/food handling qualifications.
  • Nutrition and menu planning course.
  • Knowledge of relevant food safety standards and guidelines in an Early Childhood Environment.
  • Extensive experience in evaluating menus, food supplies and equipment. 

This position is subject to a working with children check and prohibited persons are not eligible to apply. 

As per Public Health Orders any person working in an Early Education and Care Service will need to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccinations.

 

Salary listed above is based on a full time appointment.
