Liverpool City Council is seeking an inspirational leader and Early Childhood practitioner to join our team as a Nominated Supervisor. This opportunity would suit candidates who are seeking to bring their leadership skills to the team. As a Nominated Supervisor you will manage the daily operations of an Early Childhood Service to deliver quality educational programmes for young children and their families, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legislative requirements and industry standards for Early Childhood Services.

 

At present, Council owns and operates six Early Education and Care Centres and one Preschool. Our centres exceed National Quality Standards and meet the diverse needs of the community. Councils Early Education and Care Centres and Preschool are vibrant, dynamic services which aim to provide children with environments and curriculums that maximise their learning potential.

Children’s Services aims to be recognised as champions of quality improvement, innovative leaders beyond the service, and raising the bar on quality education and care for Australian children. Our services exemplify that children are active contributors to decision making, showing a deep respect for their thoughts, ideas and perspectives.

To be successful in the role you will need to hold relevant Early Childhood University qualifications, a current First Aid Certificate and have an active BOSTES teacher accreditation. You will need to demonstrate how your skills and qualifications align with the position description with:

·       A minimum of 12 months management or supervisory experience with demonstrated experience in developing, leading, supporting and motivating a successful team

·       Experience in the development and implementation of an innovative, child led early childhood curriculum which ensures the rights of children are upheld.

·       Maintain a learning community within the service where there is a culture of reflective practice and ongoing learning to drive quality and continuous improvement.
