An exciting opportunity has arisen within Council’s Development Assessment team for an experienced and energetic Principal Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing regionally significant development applications, and you will coordinate development applications that require consideration by the Sydney Western City Planning Panel, Liverpool Design Excellence Panel, and the Liverpool Independent Hearings and Assessment Panel. 

 

You will be required to liaise closely with members of the public and developers and ensure the provision of accurate and timely advice to all stakeholders both internal and external. 

 

You will be committed to: 

 

  • Applying your development assessment skills within a land release local government area with a City Centre undergoing significant transformation.
  • Prioritising your workload and that of the DA team to ensure the efficient processing of DA's.
  • Improving communication with stakeholders. 

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant. This position also comes with a leaseback vehicle or a vehicle allowance.
